Dr. Maria Luisa Romo Pérez is an agricultural scientist and research associate whose research focuses on the quality of plant products, especially in the organic cultivation of vegetables, with a particular emphasis on onions. Her work centers on the evaluation of open-pollinated and traditional onion landraces, questions of storability, postharvest quality, and the analysis of compound profiles and stress responses. Through her work, she combines field trials, quality analytics, and metabolic characterization with application-oriented research questions for organic farming and the transfer of knowledge into practice.
