Our Mission

The aim of the Center for Organic Farming at the University of Hohenheim is to bring science and practice together to further the development of organic farming.

The core tasks of the Center are the initiation, coordination and execution of research projects, the teaching of organic farming, and the facilitation of knowledge transfer through dialogue within the organic sector.

We are especially involved with teaching in the international Master’s program Organic Agriculture and Food Systems. We also support our students in finding internships and are also available to others, such as journalists, for questions regarding organic farming.

We organize public events such as conferences, workshops and lectures on various topics with the main focus on organic farming.

International cooperation is of growing importance in organic farming as well. Therefore we also organize collaborations in research and teaching in organic farming with domestic and international partners.
