Our Mission

The goal of the Center for Organic Farming at the University of Hohenheim is to bring together science and practice to jointly advance organic agriculture.

The core responsibilities of the Center include initiating, coordinating, and conducting research projects, providing education on organic farming, and facilitating knowledge transfer through dialogue with the organic sector.

We are particularly involved in teaching within the international degree program Organic Agriculture and Food Systems. Additionally, we support our students in finding internships and are available to assist others, such as journalists, with questions regarding organic farming.

We organize public events such as conferences, workshops, and lectures on various key topics related to organic agriculture.

International collaboration is becoming increasingly important in organic farming, so we also coordinate collaborative research and education in organic agriculture with partners both in Germany and overseas.
